In the current school year, students of about 500 schools are carrying out both certification testing of primary school ninth-graders "Testing 9" as well as external part of secondary school-leaving exam ("Maturita") electronically.
"Standardised tests are particularly important, bringing the objective element into school practice", said Mr. Juraj Draxler, the Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic at a press conference on electronic certification measurements held at the Grammar School, Bilíkova st. in Bratislava.
According to Minister Draxler, e-testing is a modern form, which will make teachers' and students' lives easier. In the future, this form of certification testing should lead to an increase of testing objectivity, decrease of financial costs associated with the distribution of test packages to individual primary and secondary schools, elimination of the costs of tests in printed version, simplification of processes of Testing 9 and Maturita preparation, prevention of potential errors in evaluation of answers and other advantages.
