Approximately 650 primary and secondary schools, their teachers and other visitors had the opportunity to try out "mini tests" of different types of literacy within the festival "10 years of Slovak Membership in the EU" organized by the European Commission’s Representation in Slovakia and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic.
The tests were created by teachers from different regions of Slovakia within the national project "Increasing the quality of primary and secondary education with the use of electronic testing" (E-test). The event under the name "E-testujte sa s EÚsmevom" with tasks in Slovak and Hungarian languages was organised in 9 cities in Slovakia (Bratislava, Košice, Banská Bystrica, Nitra, Žilina, Trenčín, Prešov, Komárno and Spišská Nová Ves) by the National Institute for Certified Educational Measurements within the official celebrations of the 10th anniversary of Slovak Republic's accession to the European Union. Electronic testing aroused the greatest interest among secondary school students in Žilina and Banská Bystrica and among basic school pupils in Nitra and Bratislava.
