The Summer School 2014, an event organised within the national project "Increasing the quality of primary and secondary education with the use of electronic testing", provided a rich programme for 450 test tasks authors and reviewers from all around Slovakia. The training took place in Bratislava (from 11th August to 13th August 2014), Banská Bystrica (14th August - 16th August 2014) and Košice (21st August - 23rd August 2014). This is one of the ways how our national project actively contributes to improving the professionalism of teachers in test tasks' development according to a modern methodology, which is inspired by the methodology for test tasks' development used in the international measurements.

A very important part of the Summer School was the technical and expert training for submission of tasks and items into the newly created central electronic testing system. Each author also gained unique access authorisation to the electronic system. This will contribute to the effectiveness and security of the development of original test tasks. "In the next phase of the project, all authors will create the tasks directly in the electronic system. They will access it through licensing authorisations," explained Mrs. Romana Kanovská, Director of the National Institute for Certified Educational Measurements (NÚCEM).
