What is Yet to Come in the E-Test Project?

08.09.2015
Only three months remain until the end of the national project "Increasing the quality of primary and secondary education with the use of electronic testing", finishing on 30th November 2015. By the end of November we are going to have some more exciting activities.

In addition to school test runs, "dress rehearsal" of electronic forms of Testing 5 (E-Testing 5) or adaptive testing, we will provide the elementary school ninth-graders with English language test including sound samples, which will certainly attract schools that follow the trends not only in the Slovak education system. Indeed, in the future, it is considered that the certification testing on English language of ninth-graders should be implemented. The electronic test of English language provided in the project will be on the A2 level of the Common European Framework.

In autumn, we also continue with trainings for the Teacher testing in the E-Test system intended for teachers of our partner schools in different regions of Slovakia. In the afternoon, teachers will acquire knowledge and skills in planning of electronic testing for their students, using of already-created tests, or preparing their own tests using the tasks offered as well as in evaluation of tests within the E-Test electronic interface. We regularly publish more details on training dates as well as other instructions on the website of the project.

One can also meet with the E-Test project and the E-Test testing system when visiting various public events. On 25th September 2015, we will participate in the European Researchers' Night taking place in Europa Shopping Centre in Banská Bystrica as well as in Atrium Optima in Košice.
Secondary school graduates-to-be and their teachers will be offered the opportunity to try out some test tasks on different graduation subjects at the student fair Akadémia & VAPAC 2015, which is taking place at the National Tennis Centre in Bratislava from 6th to 8th October 2015.

At six schools (Bratislava, Topoľčany, Vyhne, Žilina, Košice and Smižany) in the 39th calendar week (21st- 24th September 2015) we are carrying out a competition of student teams Free Hour, where students will compete in a social-knowledge-based game called "Win millions!", Junior version with specifically modified rules for this competition.

Approximately one month before the end of the project we are holding a final conference with international participation under the name Electronic testing - Experience and Challenges, at which the participants will learn details on the implementation of the national project E-Test in the period from its beginning (March 2013) up to Autumn 2015. The final conference will be held in the Slovak capital Bratislava in the Hotel Bratislava.
